Savener has successfully completed the refurbishment and expansion of the Airbus Development Laboratory in Getafe, a project that not only reflects the firm’s high level of engineering and design, but also its ability to lead complex works under strict quality standards. The project, led and designed by Savener, faced numerous challenges, including the management of contingencies associated with the pre-existing facilities and the need to meet tight deadlines.
One of the highlights of the refurbishment was the creation of an advanced cleanroom, equipped with a specialised air conditioning system designed to maintain very specific temperature and humidity conditions. This facility is essential for delicate operations with materials that require an extremely precise controlled environment. In addition, an advanced filtration system capable of controlling the presence of particles larger than 5 micrometres in the environment has been implemented, complying with EN ISO 14644-3.
The success of the project depended not only on the technical expertise of the Savener team, but also on its experience in coordinating and adapting to the complex site conditions, ensuring that all new installations were carried out without affecting the daily operations of the laboratory.
The completion of this project not only enhances Airbus’ ability to conduct advanced research and development, but also sets new standards of functionality, safety and efficiency for laboratory facilities in the aerospace industry. With this achievement, Savener reaffirms its position as a leader in the design and execution of technically challenging and strategically important projects in the aerospace sector.
