In the last few weeks, the new Airbus logistics centre in Albacete has reached its final construction phase and has started the start-up and final tests. This centre, with a total surface area of 46,000 m², is positioned as one of the most innovative and advanced in the world, designed to manage the logistics of Airbus Helicopter aeronautical parts throughout Europe.
The centre stands out not only for its modernity but also for its commitment to sustainability. It features fully robotised warehousing areas and an adjacent photovoltaic power generation plant that powers its operations, significantly reducing Airbus’ carbon footprint.
Savener, contracted by Airbus since the beginning of the project as Owner Technical Advisor, has been a key pillar in the development and supervision of this ambitious project. Recently, the Savener team carried out one of the last inspections during the commissioning process, ensuring that all systems and processes meet the high standards of quality and efficiency required.
Operated by Daher, this logistics centre will not only optimise Airbus’ supply chains, but will also represent a crucial step in the efficient management of its production. This achievement underlines Savener’s ability to manage and develop complex, innovative and large-scale projects, successfully meeting both technological and organisational challenges.
Savener continues to demonstrate its commitment to excellence and innovation in each of its projects, consolidating its position as a benchmark in the engineering and development of advanced infrastructures.
