Savener has successfully completed the execution and commissioning of the new air conditioning installation in Hall A of the Airbus factory in Tablada, a flagship project that reflects Airbus’ ongoing commitment to upgrade and optimise its infrastructures. Designed and managed by Savener, this project, initiated in 2022, was completed in early 2024, marking an important milestone in Airbus’ facility modernisation strategy.
The renovation of the HVAC system in Hall A has represented a considerable challenge, as a complete replacement of the hydronic network and air conditioning terminal units has been carried out, all without interrupting production at any time. This achievement underlines Savener’s ability to carry out complex projects under continuous operating conditions.
The new air conditioning installation not only improves energy efficiency, but also incorporates state-of-the-art technology, including:
- Cooling generation through magnetic levitation technology.
- Heat generation through condensing boilers with modulating burners.
- Variable flow systems in pumping and EC fans for flow regulation in air diffusion.
- High level of monitoring and control through an advanced BMS (Building Management System).
These improvements ensure that the Airbus Tablada factory not only complies with the most demanding energy efficiency regulations, but also positions itself as one of the most advanced and efficient air conditioning facilities within the Airbus conglomerate and in the Spanish industrial sector in general.
With this project, Savener and Airbus reaffirm their leadership in the implementation of innovative and sustainable technological solutions, demonstrating their ability to continuously improve operating conditions and environmental sustainability in the aerospace industry. This success underlines the value of a strong and long-term partnership between Savener and Airbus, initiated in 2013, which continues to make a difference in the industry.
