Airbus, in collaboration with its technology partner Savener, has successfully completed the implementation of an advanced heat recovery system at its Illescas plant. This innovative technological solution underlines Airbus’ ongoing commitment to reducing CO2 emissions and saving energy at its facilities.
The new heat recovery system harnesses the waste heat generated by the compressors, transforming it into an efficient heating source for the plant. Thanks to this measure, significant savings in heating energy consumption are expected, achieving a reduction of CO2 emissions of approximately 128 tonnes per year.
With this initiative, Airbus not only reinforces its sustainability strategy, but also demonstrates the positive impact that collaboration with Savener can have on the implementation of advanced technological solutions. Both companies continue to work together to promote cleaner and more efficient industrial practices, setting a benchmark in the aerospace industry.
The successful implementation of this system marks an important milestone on the road to a more sustainable future and reflects Airbus and Savener’s commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility.
