Savener announces the successful completion of Phase 1 of the refurbishment of the D4 hall in Getafe, a significant step forward in the expansion project that will allow the addition of a 5th performance position on the A400M aircraft, while maintaining the current four positions dedicated to maintenance.
This first milestone marks an essential step in the development of an upgraded facility, designed to meet the high operational and technical standards required, without affecting the existing maintenance capacity.
During this initial phase, several actions were carried out to meet the specific needs of the new A400M position, including theincorporation of new PITs strategically located to meet the demands of the 5th position, ensuring an efficient operation that complements the four existing positions, The installation of new piping has been carried out, optimising the flow of systems and achieving a safer and more efficient environment for the development of maintenance and adaptation work in each position, and finally, the improvement of the entire operational area has been carried out to support the operations associated with the incorporation of the 5th position, reinforcing the durability and safety of the area dedicated to work on the A400M and ensuring its compatibility with the pre-existing positions.
With the completion of this first phase, the project is heading towards Phase 2, which will commence in the coming weeks and which will allow the necessary adaptations to continue with the complete extension of the D4 bay.
