Savener has been selected to carry out the detailed engineering development of Instrumentation and Control (I&C) for the new Chira & Soria Desalination Plant, a key project to ensure the water supply on the island of Gran Canaria. This award highlights the importance of advanced infrastructure in sustainable water management, especially in island regions where water resources are limited.
The Chira & Soria Seawater Desalination Plant (EDAM) will have a nominal capacity of 7,800 m³/day, standing out for its inclusion of a pumping system that will transport the desalinated water to the Soria reservoir, differentiating it from other similar facilities. This feature adds an additional layer of complexity to the project, underscoring the need for a highly specialized I&C team.
Instrumentation and control are critical components in modern industrial buildings, ensuring not only operational efficiency but also the safety and reliability of the system. Savener’s extensive experience and deep knowledge in I&C project development are essential to tackling the technical challenges presented by this desalination plant.
Savener’s team, with its outstanding track record in similar projects, is committed to providing innovative and high-quality solutions. This project is further proof of Savener’s strong commitment to developing water cycle-related infrastructure, ensuring not only the availability but also the quality of the supplied water.
The awarding of this project to Savener reaffirms its position as a sector leader, capable of tackling complex and strategic projects that contribute to sustainable development and the well-being of communities.
