Savener has once again been chosen by Airbus Spain to lead a key project in the digital transformation of its factories in San Pablo and Puerto de Santa Maria. This project, which will be developed in three phases over the next six months, represents a significant milestone in the digitisation of Airbus infrastructures, consolidating Savener’s expertise in advanced engineering and digital transformation projects.
The first phase of the project will consist of 3D laser scanning of both factories, a technique that ensures accurate capture of the physical data of the facilities. This will be followed by the BIM modelling phase, which will cover both the architecture and the complete facilities of the plants, providing a detailed and reliable digital model. Finally, in the third phase, the meta-information generated will be integrated into the space and maintenance management systems currently used by Airbus, connecting the BIM models with the company’s operational platforms.
The completion of this project will not only optimise the management and maintenance of Airbus infrastructures, but will also lay the foundation for future evolution towards the creation of fully operational Digital Twins. These models, linked to real-time sensors and actuators, will enable advanced and predictive plant control, exploiting the full potential of the Digital Twins for continuous improvement of operational processes and efficient use of resources.
