Airbus has awarded Savener, a leading company in the sustainable engineering and architecture sector, the contract to carry out a feasibility study for the construction of a new building to house most of the laboratories at the Getafe factory. This ambitious 3,500 m² project will include laboratories, offices and warehouses, and seeks to position itself as an emblem of architectural quality and energy efficiency.

The feasibility study will consider two options: the refurbishment of an existing building or the construction of a new building on an isolated plot. In both cases, Savener will put into practice its experience in the use of sustainable materials and in the use of natural lighting, key aspects to optimise the comfort and functionality of the common spaces. In addition, the integration of workers and the creation of efficient and ergonomic routes will be determining factors in the final design, with the aim of fostering a collaborative environment.

One of the major challenges that Savener will address is the search for high-level energy certifications

One of the major challenges that Savener will address is the search for high-level energy certifications, guaranteeing a design that combines value engineering and sustainability, all without compromising the safety of workers, which will always be a priority. It will also seek a visual improvement in the production areas, contributing to greater spatial quality and staff wellbeing.

This project reinforces Savener’s commitment to excellence in design and energy efficiency, consolidating its position as a strategic partner of Airbus in future phases of the project, including the design of the final solution and site management.
