Following an intense international competition, Savener was awarded the contract to design the entire installation of Heating Systems (HVAC) for all the buildings of the desalinization plant in the city of Shalalah, Oman. The installation in question is designed in EPC format by ABEIMA and Fisia, and uses the latest reverse osmosis technology to produce 113,650 m³ of drinking water per day.
The total cost of the project is estimated to be around USD 100 mill and work is expected to start in the second quarter of 2018. This project strengthens Savener’s presence in the sector of desalinization plants, where it has designed several engineering packages for the most important desalinization projects that are under way around the world.
