The refurbishment works for the extension of one of the laboratory areas that Airbus has in Getafe (Madrid) have been completed. For this, Savener has carried out the execution project and developed the work management tasks in its execution phase.
The intervention area has occupied an area of about 300 m². The refurbishment allows the expansion of the company’s laboratories, making available the increased capacity of the activities of the area. During the development of the project, it was necessary to consider additional needs inherent to the activity and the quality of the materials in this type of service compared to less demanding refurbishments.
The refurbishment has included the incorporation of a Clean Room for the treatment of materials under very demanding conditioning and filtration conditions. For this purpose, an independent air conditioning system has been incorporated to ensure the necessary temperature conditions for the processing of the materials under analysis. In addition, a Class 8 filtration system is required, according to ISO 14644-1, which requires a concentration of less than 29,300 particles/m³ in air for particles larger than 5 micrometers. All this with the constraints of space and maintenance of operation in the main activities of the Hangar. This space has been completed with the inclusion of a quick response opening/closing element compatible with the requirements of the room itself and the needs of use established by the client.
On the civil works side, materials have been carefully selected and used in accordance with the specific requirements of the laboratory, guaranteeing compliance with the highest quality standards. In particular, special attention has been paid to the choice of flooring, with effective resistance to the constant rolling of heavy equipment and durability against chemical splashes and other agents present in these environments. This approach has ensured that the facilities are not only functional, but also durable and safe for the specialised work that will take place in the laboratory.
The work has been completed within an extremely tight schedule, strictly complying with the deadlines agreed with the client, which underlines our capacity for adaptation and efficiency in the face of the most demanding challenges. At Savener, as usual in each of the projects we undertake, we have made the most of all our technical knowledge, the vast experience accumulated over the years, and the human and material resources at our disposal. This joint effort has not only enabled us to meet our deadlines, but also to ensure that the quality and standards we have set remain intact. This commitment to excellence, rigour and customer satisfaction is undoubtedly part of the hallmark that has characterised us in every project we undertake, strengthening the trust our clients place in us and guaranteeing solid, tailor-made solutions for their needs.
