Paul Hawken
Paul Hawken is an environmentalist, entrepreneur, and best-selling author. He runs ecological businesses and consults with governments and corporations on industrial ecology and environmental policy. Hawken’s books include the seminal works The Ecology of Commerce and Natural Capitalism, co-authored with Amory Lovins, which President Clinton called one of the five most important books in the world today. His newest book is Blessed Unrest, How The Largest Social Movement in the World Came Into Being, and Why No One Saw It Coming.
Thom Mayne
Thom Mayne, the 2005 Pritzker Architecture Prize Laureate, is one of the world’s most original and dynamic architects. With Morphosis, the design firm he founded in 1972, he constantly seeks new design challenges and strives to create architecture that surprises and inspires. Currently a professor at the UCLA School of the Arts and Architecture, Mayne founded the influential Southern California Institute of Architecture and has taught at universities worldwide. Morphosis has received 25 Progressive Architecture Awards, 60 AIA Awards, and has been the subject of numerous monographs and exhibitions.
